Where is the electronic device that sends a signal to start charging my alternator is?
1995 Chevy Van G20 conversion. The alternator and voltage regulator are very good. It is an electronic module of some kind that is hermetically sealed is connected series with the alternator, which tells the alternator to begin charging the battery. I have said is only $ 100.00 to replace ….. if I can find.
If your vehicle is not compatible with what you need to replace the alternator and voltage regulator is inside the alternator, if you are mechanically inclined can rip apart the alternator and replace the voltage regulator for about $ 10.
