Does anyone know how much they pay per flight for FedEx deliveries?
I have a discussion with a friend. My thesis is this: I'm A rough calculation indicates that FedEx MD-11 medium transport packages are 8000 (based on the MD-11, 200,000 pounds of capacity and find a package on average 25 #). I'm still guessing that packages of 8000 at an average cost of $ 50 is the adoption network around 400,000. Now .. after paying the pilot, copilot, and …. groundcrews think 150K for fuel flight .. FedEx rakes in about a quarter of a million every time one of its cargo of aircraft movements. My friend that I think more. I think it is prudent based on the fact that FedEx is required to maximize your cube and probably many more than 8,000 packages on board. All impirical wisom Thoughts??
You have left a lot of expenses such as maintenance personnel, ground personnel, parts, airport landing fees, etc etc. And do not forget that this is not just the flight, to be included in package if the treatment center for separated, taken to the airport, on the plane, then the inverse of the return, if you now have two sets of two groups of drivers dockers truck, two sets of semi-trucks and truck maintenance, fuel, insurance, benefits, etc, etc. They make money, probably, but not as you think.
