Is it possible to have an electric fuel pump bad if the vehicle is still in progress?
You can have an electric pump fuel and evil, the vehicle still runs – these are some signs and symptoms that your fuel pump may be bad.Thanks goes wrong or – if it is sound for a truck GMC 1987 with a TEC 350. If the pump is bad or goes wrong and the car still running. The only way to know for sure is to check the pressure fuel. 1. Clear clean air and taking the vacuum port in the throttle body unit Thermaco. 2. Remove the fuel unit and fuel filter TBI. Use a key for Back-up nut to hold the throttle body by removing the line. 3. Installing fuel pressure gauge J-29 658 or equivalent between the throttle body and filter. 4. Check the pressure reading with the engine running. Fuel pressure should be between 9 and 13 psi. 5. Fuel pressure system, remove the gauge and reinstall the fuel line. 6. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks. 7. Remove the vacuum port cover and install air Thermaco clean. *** This procedure has been updated by the TSB # 90-6C-89, manufactured 9 / 90 from 1985 to 1990 some engines with 2.5L, 2.8L, 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L 7.4L or you may experience a condition which interrupts the supply of fuel to the engine, there is "no start conditions." This condition can be caused deterioration of fuel in the coupling hose from the pump located between the fuel pump sending unit and fuel pump. This condition can be repaired by replacing the original hose coupling with a new tube VITON mounting kit P / N 25028041. The kit consists of a tube and two clamps VITON.
