Service for BMW 5 Series?
Hi, I have a 2001 model BMW 5 Series (E39) and service LED comes in about 1000 miles already (an inspection). I'm about to go on a trip to Europe and travel abotu 2.500 miles – You think I should get the service performed prior to travel or wait until my back? Advice technical would be greatly appreciated. I talked to the dealer and, obviously, says I should do in advance – they just want money problems. Any advice for owners of BMW cars most popular mechanic – or anyone who has done this before! Thanks !!!!!!!!
Hi Batman, If you is someone who takes care of his car, he keeps and maintains the expected reliability of the same, so the simple answer is yes, you should do. I'm sure the dealer will always personalized welcome from anyone, but they have a responsibility for the correct advice as stated by BMW. I never understood "all dealers are a scam "mentality. BMW spend millions (and I mean millions) in the development of the car is as reliable and as free as possible (they want for the intervals major maintenance all the time). With a new series 3-you can now reach 19,000 miles + before a service is needed. A new 3-series would require twenty years ago a study before the average has increased. My point is that when the green lights end services while some degree of aging and the use that has occurred in your engine that has been calculated in the early stages of development. Besides, would not it be nice to have the peace of mind that your car is in good condition before a long trip?
